Steel battery boxes

building a set of steel battery boxes is not that easy as it looks; due to the thickness of the steel sheets, the bending of the right diameter by hand is pretty hard!

Theses are the lasercut sheets:

the hardest part; rounding the outer sheet:

and here after welding and grinding the first box.

now some mediablasting and primering and they are ready!

in the end they are rocksolid!

Space for Star Wars Helmets

after cleaning up that mess in my bureau, i made some place for two of the three helmets i have; the one is an EP 7 stormtrooper helmet from anovos (way too expensive for what you get!!) and the other one is a handmade chrometrooper helmet in fiberglass (not finished).
below the helmets i put a small collection of rare aircooled vw parts.

helmet number three, a mandalorian bounty hunter helmet that i made for my son, is at home.
