Four round panels

my son made a prining file for four round panels to be printed at the same time.

Coming up...my next project

the two last droids not yet finished, i already plan to build the next one.

it is the BD-1 Droid.

here is a pic of it:

54 cm in height, this little guy has some parts looking similar to my r2 astromech unit.

this little guy is from a star wars computer game called "the old republic; fallen order".

the files to print the parts are already downloaded, but i will focus now on my nurse droid finish. after that the D-O droid mus tbe done too.

and then...it´s already x-mas i think...LOL episode 9 troop in our local cinema... 

Nurse droid main body

the last days my son created some files for the nurse droid for me. he placed via tinkercad the round panel into the main body shell. and it worked great!!

this little guy is still 12 years old, but his skills are impressive!! a new padawan!!!

Little artist

My son is an artist; he managed to create some modified files for the next half of the Body shell. In this case he added the lower round panel to the body.

I got mad with the already printed or casted parts.
They do not really fit to each other, the epoxy glue doesn't glue already painted parts even If i had sanded them before...
So now another attempt to solve the problems!

D-O Droid Progress

the d-o droid is far from being finished. i stooped the project due to other things i had to do. my beetle, my beach buggy and a lot of work in my enterprise have taken all my time the last two months.

so the head is almost finished, except the inner nose parts. i won´t fit the red led´s in the eyes section.

the rest of the smaller body parts is printed now, the bigger ones like the side wheel cover and the main wheel ring must be printed in the near future.

Nurse Droid Progress

after i had some severe trouble getting the parts for the body glued together, i stopped this project.

yesterday i continued to do another try.
and it worked. working with patience is always the better way!

another piece is glued now to the body. the drying times of the glue are a bit longer than expected and i had to wait over night, but now it will work.

i will do some new 3d printed parts for the body now, because the resin parts from my mold weren´t as perfect as i expected.

so i won´t have any more problems to get everything fixed.

Warner Movie World

A little trip with my daughter to this years' troop in warner movie World was on the to do list.

Luckily we could get the last two tickets only a few days before the event, due to two other cosplayer jumping off.

And it was a blast !!!

We had so much fun with the other cosplayer attending almost all of the area. IT waspretty warm all day, but it didn't stop us from making nonsens all day!!
