The Armorer

 My Buddy Oskar helped me printing a helmet.

It is the Armorer from the TV Serien "the mandalorian".

 

Now it is printed and needs some love...and filler...and sanding paper...and glue...and paint...and...and...

For Franky

 We made a Deal; a Set of Ali feet and battery boxes for a wobbly and crappy Fiberglass Droid Body, two Fiberglass domes (,one good, one bad), two acrylic spheres in 500 mm Diameter (for a bb-8 Body), some crappy Resin spare leg parts, some unknown Ali Leg parts (i don't think to ever use them).

Now i started the first outer foot for him... 

Still needs his channel. More maybe later today. It will be a hard working day today...again!!!

The day before...

yesterday i went to the metal shop too. and they had realized four ali sheets for the ali horseshoes i got from my buddy frank :

my visit at the metal shop this morning took a little bit longer than expected. and in the end i forgot to drive to the galvanizer. damn´ !!

but i got the ali side greeblies for the outer feet!

Ali Radar Eye

has started a run for a fantastic ali radar eye. a limited series of 10 units were produced. only a few are still available. so you have to be quick to get one!

Sheet order

yesterday i went to the metalshop, that is doing the lasercutting for me. they were pretty quick this time!

today i could pick up already all parts for a new set of feet!

and the sheets for the ali horseshoes, that i got from frank are done too!

The legs needed some more fine tuning.

Already packed !

i just packed some parts to avoid dust or damage to the surface of them!

outer feet side sheets, center foot side sheets and a set of body to leg hubs.

Pretty dusty

...are the ali booster rocket kits that i have on stock for a longer time now.

Ali horseshoes

My buddy Frank was so kind to let build two sets of horseshoes for me:

Bad center foot

on of the two center foot units i build, has warped during the welding process. 

 

this is not good. i can use it, but won´t give it to other builders.

i will use this one for my R3 unit.

Finetuning

...has to be done on the ali feet i had built.

due to the thin material of the ali feet, it is very difficult to get perfect surfaces.

in my case i have to use some fine bondo to get a smooth surface.

sanding and primering was on the agenda...
