the second steel leg for my son´s imperial droid is in the maiking process.

and another pair of steel legs must be built for another droid. these must have a high end finish!
so i will have to order some new sheets, because i am running out of sheet parts, that are on stock.the next sheets could be picked up at my preferred metalshop.
an almost complete battery box and outer feet sheets set. unfortunetely i forgot to order the channel sheets for the feet.
i started the build of the second battery box for my buddy frank.
i know why i hate 1,5 and 2 mm thickness...
the rounding process of the battery main sheet is very hard to realize...when i have a thickness of 1,5 mm. the next ones will have 1 mm thickness.
the ali center foot for my buddy frank is sanded and primered now:
and the outer feet are in sanding progress too!

Luckily i had a small.amount.of parts left in my storage to quickly build a Set of lightweight Ali legs.
to get the parts for my spanish buddy done, i searched in my storage and found the necessary ali sheets for the outer feet:
now i must find time to work on the parts in the next days...
a good spanish friend asked me to build him a set of feet, ankles, legs, battery boxes and so on...
yesterday i could already start the build of the center ali foot...here it is already completely welded and grinded, plus the add of some bondo that was sanded...
now some primer and this job is done too.

some minor reworking, maybe some welding spots here and there to get a better look, some more grinding, then some sanding and i can add the putty to their surfaces.
and after that i have to finish the second ali battery box.

funny thing; our local radio station contacted me, after i made a posting for a voting for or against star wars on their FB page. they wanted me to make an audio why i have decided myself for star wars.
because i already had made an interview together with my oldest daughter some years ago in their studio concerning the latest star wars film, in this case episode 7 i think, it was time to let other people talk about that.
in this case my buddy ulf, one of our FB star wars group admin, made sent them an audio and they made an interview, that will be aired today in the afternoon.
the audio, he sent in, was already aired this morning. and he mentioned me as a star wars addicted fan, building astromech units and parts for it, that is doing troops too.
